The Mural Competition


The Commissioner's Office is pleased to present a brand new event to Headmasters' Week, supported by the Fine Arts Department.  

Each team will have the opportunity to create a team Mural later on in the week. 

Teams will receive a 4'x6' piece of plywood on which to create their Mural.  The art rooms will be open on Wednesday and Thursday night from 5 to 8 pm for the painting of these masterpieces, which will then be hung around the school after judging. 

Here are the things that must be included in the mural:
1. Your team name and/or banner, prominently displayed
2. The other team names
3. Something that relates to the history of your headmaster (his life, his time at Blair, what he contributed to the school)
4. A Blair landmark (The arch, the waterfall, timken, whatever!)
5. Charly (yes, Mr. Hardwick's dog)

Murals painting times will be announced on Wednesday. Sketches/Designs for the mural are due into Ms. McEvoy by Wednesday at 2 pm.  

Start planning on your masterpiece!
